These units meet National Fire Protection Association Standard 99 and comply with OSHA Article No. CFR1910.308. Units also feature an enclosed compressor overload‚ relay switch‚ and thermostat. They include a commercial power cord with a three-prong plug.

Hazardous location units have a mechanical assembly designed to prevent electrical sparks from igniting volatile or explosive substances in the surrounding environment. A specially designed compressor‚ with all electrical components enclosed‚ prevents sparks from triggering an explosion of vapors in the environment. Units are listed by Underwriters Laboratories for Class 1‚ Group C and D applications. Wiring complies with the National Electrical Code‚ Article 501-4 for Class 1‚ Division 1 and 2.
