Manufactured by Thermo Scientific Revco, model ULT7150-9-M is an Ultima II series cryogenic storage chest freezer designed for long-term storage of biologicals in cryogenic temperatures without using liquid nitrogen as a cooling medium. Offering a uniform temperature of -150 C, this 6.8 cu. ft. unit is safer and more convenient than LN2 systems. Top-to-bottom temperature uniformity is dramatically improved when compared to LN2 vapor. Cell viability is improved because biologically relevant, thermally driven reactions are not known to occur. The revolutionary, single compressor, orbital refrigeration system is exclusively designed for cryogenic storage. Model ULT7150-9-M comes standard with RS232 output and access port on rear of unit.
